My family and I had a wonderful stay here in June 2018 while we explored the Mandakini Valley. Kimana village is an enchanting locale in which one awakes to bird song instead of traffic noise. The house exterior is gorgeous–we loved the traditional architecture and decoration–whereas the interior has all modern amenities. The food was made with fresh (often local) ingredients, and included regional cuisine and condiments (for example, mandua ki roti and fiddlehead fern pickles). Most important of all, our host Kailash and his family were kind and extraordinarily helpful in arranging for all our needs (whether at the home or on regional excursions). We came as customers, we left as friends. I will certainly visit again.
