Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of Islands in the Indian territory located in the Bay of Bengal. Located in South Andaman district is its capital city Port Blair, the only entry point for the Islands through sea and air route. The city has a lot of places which hint at the penal settlement of Britishers before independence and act as a memorial for the Indian freedom struggle. It has various places of interest like historical Cellular Jail, museums, beaches, markets, and parks. Anthropological museum here focuses on the indigenous tribes of the Islands.
This is the oldest homestay in the Islands and belongs to the only Parsi family in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The place is in close proximity to all major points of interest as well as the airport, jetty (for catching inter-island ferry to other Islands), and market. The homestay has three apartments with individual entrances on the same premises as the owner’s bungalow. The main house has a unique traditional Burmese design which was made with wood earlier and renovated later. There is a beautiful garden space and a terrace lounge.
Apartment 1 has one large bedroom with 2 single beds and one double bed, a living cum dining room and an attached bathroom. Apartment 2 has one room with a double bed, an attached bathroom without AC and can be connected to Apartment 1 if required. And there is a Duplex cottage that has 2 bedrooms and a bath. There is a common sit-out area on the terrace of the main house which is a great place to relax and enjoy the sea view. In all, 10 people can be accommodated in the homestay. It is quite popular amongst solo and female travelers.

The only Parsi family in the Islands will host you. They settled in the Andaman Islands in 1985. A very impressive and energetic lady Dinaz Noble heads this house and will host you here along with her family. Dinaz knows a lot about the culture and history of the islands as the family moved here long time ago and have seen the changes Port Blair went through. She can give you lots of good advice about the places to visit. Shiraz, her son is a graduate of hotel management and takes care of the homestay along with his wife Bakhtawar. Bakhtawar cooks excellent Parsi food. Tanaz is a reputed Kayaking Instructor with a lot of achievements under her belt. She has made history by becoming the first kayaker to cross the very feisty 10-degree channel in Andaman Islands.
Apart from the homestay they also have an agriculture plantation where they grow organic spices like clove, pepper and cinnamon along with Aricanut and Coconut. They also sell them in beautiful packaging which is a must take-home souvenir. For those who wish to experience wilderness, they have a water house adjacent to the island. Shiraz also conducts Kayaking tours around the private island. He enjoys talking about the Islands, life and is the go-to person to guide you for information about sightseeing in the Islands.
