Hamta is a small village about 12 km from Manali in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. It is located on the lush green mountain top that overlooks Manali and offers splendid panoramic views of snow clad mountain ranges and a bird’s eye view of the city from thousands of feet above. Whether you are looking for a place where you can sit back and soak in the serene surroundings or you want to indulge in some adventure activities, this is the place. Situated at 8500 ft. above sea level, Hampta is perhaps the highest inhabited destination amongst the most popular hill stations in Himachal Pradesh and the highest near Kullu-Manali. It is also a base to start Hamta pass trek and Chandratal trek.

Nestled on the the top of a hill, this is a lovely house that offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and the gorgeous valley. The family stays on the ground floor and there are 2 well furnished spacious rooms for the guests on the first floor. There is a family room that can accommodate 7-8 people. It has one double bed and enough space for putting up mattresses for 6 people. There is one more room on the same floor with 1 double bed. A common washroom is there on the first floor. The sitting area outside offers breathtaking valley views. There are 4 glamping domes, with occupancy of 10 people in two, 5 people in one and 3 people in one and 7 tents as well.

You will be hosted by Sagar Dhingra, his wife Deepshikha and 4 pets. They all are very friendly and humble. Sagar is a travel consultant and his wife is a very good cook. Their immense passion for travelling and mountains made them start this homestay. They are known for their warm hospitality and will go extra mile to make you comfortable.
The best part about the homestay is the delicious food that they offer. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes are available. Breakfast is a hearty affair with eggs of your choice, paranthas, bread jam, poha etc. Lunch is usually the local cuisine including Bathua saag, buckwheat, seasonal vegetables, dal, rice, siddu etc.
