The Homestay

It’s a boutique homestay nestled high above 3 km from the Mall Road of Manali, where the orchards the mountains meet. It was originally built by Yomed Tulku, a Nyingma lama of Spiti as a retreat for Buddhist monks. Their spiritual energy still resonates through the place. Those of you who are looking to complete that manuscript or need to reconnect with yourself and the natural habitat, this is the place to be at.

There are 6 bedrooms for guests. Every room has a standard double bed, en suite bathroom with shower, a comfortable armchair or the window seat for a quiet time. The wi-fi is terrific. Each of the guest rooms is a delight as the high Himalayas greets you when you part the curtain in the morning, along with the song of the Whistling Thrush. You’ll find a bottle of drinking water in your room. This water is drawn from a spring sourced by the lama who built this home. It’s fresher than bottled water and tastes better too. It’s the cleanest water you will find, although we do filter it for you. There is a coffee lounge, dining room, library with a beautiful balcony and a spacious garden to soak in the splendor.
