Situated on the slopes of Western Ghats this tiny district of Karnataka is also known as “The Scotland of India”. It is a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers. Rolling hills covered in lush green forests and a landscape dotted with coffee plantations, tea gardens and orange groves, Coorg, now called Kodagu has breathtakingly stunning scenic beauty.
This recently built Tree House probably is the most exotic stay in Coorg. It is located in 1 acre of forest land and coffee plantation in Katakeri Village, just 2 km from the hill town Madikeri. There are 2 Studio rooms. Superior Studio on the lower floor is equipped with a personal dry kitchen, fridge, microwave and in-room tea/coffee facility. Deluxe Studio on the upper floor has its own sit-out area. Both rooms have attached bathroom and a private balcony. Staying here is an experience in itself.
Sathish Rai will host you here. He is fully involved in managing the homestay along with his wife Shaloka. He has great passion and love for nature and its creatures. It shows when he talks about the jungle.
Meals can be prepared as per the guest requirements. The in-house cook is expert in local cuisine including South Indian and a little bit of North Indian. Non vegetarian food is also available on request including Pork dishes.
