This Mountain facing homestay in Aghora is a quaint Himalayan village located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Nestled at an altitude of around 2,250 meters, it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush valleys. Agoda, known for its peace and traditional Garhwali culture, is a gateway to offbeat treks like Bebra and Dodital in the Assi Ganga valley. Surrounded by forests, river trails, and mountains, this homestay offers a quiet, authentic escape for nature lovers, trekkers, and culture seekers.
This traditional two floor mountain homestay has six rooms and two dormitories with an attached and common bathroom. On the first floor there are five rooms all with their attached baths and balcony with the view of mountains and waterfall and perfect for solo travellers, families and small groups and on the ground floor there is one room with double occupancy and two dormitories with the occupancy of six people separate for boys and girls and best for trekkers and budget travellers. Rather than this there is an in house cafe where guests or travellers can read books and also have a creative corner amazing for painters and sketchers. Along with this there is a garden with a perfect sit out area.

How to Reach
Located at around 18 km from Uttarkashi city, it is well connected by motorable roads. Jolly Grant Airport (187 km) is the nearest airport and Dehradun Railway Station (210 km) and Haridwar Railway Station (206 km) are the nearby railway stations. Bus, shared jeeps and private cabs are available from major cities like Rishikesh, Dehradun and Haridwar to Uttarkashi town. From there you can get a cab to Aghora.

The host will cook and serve fresh, homemade Garhwali cuisine to the guests. Enjoy simple, flavorful Garhwali dishes like pudine ki chutney, aloo ki thichani, gehat with bhatt ki dal, kandali, kafali saag, red rice, and chaulai roti. There will be mandua roti, jhangore ki kheer, seasonal vegetables cooked with pahadi ghee, and homemade pickles also. Evening guests can unwind over a cup of chai and some refreshments. It is a cozy, homely meal experience straight from the mountains.
