Just around 7 hrs drive from Delhi, this unique A-frame cottage is located at a short walk from Bhimtal lake in the lower Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. Being surrounded by the bamboo groves and a large variety of hill trees, there are many winged visitors like the whistling thrush commonly known as blackbirds, magpies, flycatchers and red head parrots. Some nocturnal visitors are wild hares, the rare yellow throated martens, owls and some secretive predators, all within the estate grounds. With lush green surroundings and ample open spaces to sit, this is an ideal place to relax in the lap of nature listening to the bird songs, solo or with your gang. It is good for workation as well with high speed internet available.

There are 5 aesthetically done cozy rooms for the guests across two and a half floors. There are 2 superior rooms on the ground floor, a classic room and a premium room on the first floor, and a budget room (loft) on a level up, above the premium room. The budget room and the classic room have a shared bathroom. All other rooms have have attached bathrooms. Both floors can also be accessed by ramps. There is a kitchenette on the ground floor equipped with induction, microwave oven and a refrigerator for doing basic heating etc. In case you want to self cook, kitchen with cooking gas and utensils is available at an extra cost. Host stays in the same premises but a different building a few meters away from the cottage.

How To Reach

The nearest airport is Pantnagar located at a distance of around 53 km and Kathgodam is the nearest railway station, 19 km from the homestay. There are luxury buses that ply between Delhi and Haldwani (26km). You can take cab from Pantmagar, Kathgodam or Haldwani to reach the homestay.

The host serves wholesome homemade vegetarian meals. You must try their pahadi cuisine that includes local dishes like chudkani, cucumber raita and aloo ke gutke. You also have an access to the common kitchenette that is equipped with induction, microwave oven and a refrigerator and can be used for doing basic heating etc. You can also use full kitchen facility with gas stove and cooking utensils on extra charge, where the caretaker can assist to cook simple meals.
