This 100 years old house is renovated into an art retreat by an artist himself. Located in Mangoli, 16 km south west of Nainital in Uttarakhand, it stands alone on the entire hill. There are 2 rooms for the guests with an attached washroom, a common living room, dining area and a fully accessible kitchen. A section of the house is dedicated to reading and writing. There is a fully equipped recording room for musicians who are planning to get away from the noise of the town and want to create music. There is also a small collection of LP’s and an old LP record player that belongs to the host’s grandfather. It is a perfect getaway for writers, musicians, painters, storytellers and artists of all sorts and genres.
Angad Katari is a true musician. He decided to move to the hills in 2019 and converted his family holiday home into an Artist Residency. He and his partner along with their four legged friends stay here. They take care of the guests personally along with their helpers and make sure the guests feel at home.
Vegetarian home cooked meals are served to the guests. Food is another highlight of this place as they make delicious pizzas, pastas and other continental food. There are many options for North Indian food lovers as well.
