The beauty of the valley, with its rugged mountains and crystal-clear lakes, sky full of stars was beyond words. The homestays, offering a true connection with the locals and their way of life. I learned how to cook their traditional dish, like the comforting thukpa which is similar to chakolya the Maharashtrian dish, and even tried my hand at high-altitude farming. Trekking to places like Chandratal Lake and Langza, where I searched for Sea Fossils, was both challenging and rewarding. The highlight from my sight was the rare Ibex and Blue Sheep made the wildlife experience even more special. My trip to Spiti with HOI was a life-changing experience, they really know how to host there campaign who have very little idea of the offbeat places & this trip a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion.

From the moment we left Shimla, the landscape transformed into something I could only dream of. The villages like Sangla and Kalpa felt like living postcards, with vibrant apple orchards, peaches and snow-capped peaks surrounding us. Staying with the locals in their homestays gave me a glimpse into the true heart of Spitian life, and the food—especially the traditional dishes like thukpa and momos—was a delight. The trekking to Chandratal Lake was challenging yet rewarding, offering mesmerizing views. The wildlife, including Blue Sheep and Ibex, added to the magic of the journey. A truly unforgettable experience, thanks to HOI for my Spiti adventure trip which was completely. extraordinary.

The vast landscapes, from the towering mountains to the serene lakes, were awe-inspiring. Staying with local families in their homestays allowed me to experience their culture up close—learning about their farming practices, trying my hand at local crafts, and enjoying delicious food like phagshapa and butter tea. The highlight of the trip was visiting the world’s highest post office at Hikkim and exploring the ancient monasteries filled with rich history and artwork. Spiti with HOI was an incredible journey, one that I’ll never forget. Trekking through the valley, I also spotted the rare Himalayan Blue Sheep. HOI really knows how to make a trip memorable by combining adventure, culture, and stunning nature.
