Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM), is a newly formed district of Chhattisgarh with amazing natural beauty and rich heritage and culture. Basti Bagra is a tiny tribal village in Gurella Janpad in GPM located 46kms from Pendra Rd railway station (this is where you get down to go to Amarkantak). The area is popular amongst locals for Jhojha waterfall trek. It’s an approximately 2 km trek that starts at Basti Bagra and takes you through beautiful Sal Forest. This simple homestay located at the beginning of the Jhojha waterfall trek is ideal to stay at if you are planning this trek.
The homestay has one spacious room for the guests that can accommodate 4-5 people and has all basic amenities including attached bathroom and running water. In front of the house there is a huge courtyard where you can read, relax or play with your kids and at the back is the forest. Experience tribal culture, go on a village walk and enjoy the serenity of nature while you stay here. You can also visit local tribal market. Other than Jhojha waterfall, you can also go on a day’s excursion to places Jogi gufa and Kariyam lake Ashram.
