The site of Paragliding in Bir-Billing is considered to be the best among the world’s sites for paragliding. The take-off site is called Billing and the landing site is Bir and the overall altitude change is around 800m. The two places are together called Bir-Billing.  Bir is also home to a Tibetan refugee settlement with several Buddhist monasteries and a large stupa. Savor the taste of Tibetan culture, camp, trek and paraglide. You can also try your hand at angling.

Located in the heart of Bir village at a walking distance from the market and monastery, it is one of the best budget places to stay in Bir. With beautiful views of the Dhauladhar Mountains this lovely homestay is located just a few meters from the paragliding landing site in Bir.  Watching the sunset while the parachutes are landing is the sight to behold.

How To Reach

Gaggal airport is the nearest airport from Bir, located at a distance of 65 km. Nearest railway station is Baijnath – Paprola Railway Station . It is situated on the Pathankot- Joginder Nagar Narrow gauge rail head and is linked with the cities like Pathankot, Kangra and Palampur. There are overnight Volvo buses as well from Delhi to Bir.
