This pretty town is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile and offers a calming spiritual feel. Just a kilometer from Dharmshala town, lies this serene village Gamru.

Located in a peaceful and very scenic location in village Gamru, this tastefully built homestay is run by a Himachali family. There are 2 neat and spacious fully furnished rooms with all the essentials. Both rooms have attached bathrooms.  There is a shared sitting area, and kitchen where delicious meals are created from locally and thoughtfully sourced food. With backup generator and Wifi, the homestay is ideal for workation as well. Parking is not available at the homestay guests can arrange it themselves.

How to Reach

Gaggal Airport, about 14 km away from the city centre, is the main domestic airport serving Dharamshala. Dharamshala is well connected by buses to Pathankot, (about 84Km) which has road connections to nearby cities. The Kangra Valley Railway connects Pathankot to Kangra and Joginder Nagar.

The hosts would be happy to treat you with variety of food. Relish local authentic Himachali seasonal food with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Expect delicious stuffed parathas, puri sabji with curd and pickle, butter toast, egg to order, tea/ coffee for breakfast. Regular meal includes seasonal vegetable, dal, rice, roti, curd, salad etc. Food is prepared from ingredients used are organic and are sourced from framers. The guests have access to the kitchen as well if they want to self cook.
