Khangsar is a tiny Village in Lahaul, Himachal Pradesh. It is characterized by high rugged mountains and large glaciers. Besides the beauty of the surrounding landscape with a bird’s eye view of the Jispa valley, Khangsar also has a 200 year old mud palace of the Thakurs of Khangsar, locally known as Kolong. The palace is made of stones with thick mud coating on the outside and wooden frameworks, which was once the common feature of all structures in the Lahaul and Spiti valleys. 

Situated in the Lahaul valley beyond Atal Tunnel, the homestay is surrounded by snow capped mountains on every side with the view of mighty Himalayan Glaciers. There are 4 spacious guest rooms with wooden flooring and tandoor fireplace and 2 bathrooms with all modern fittings. This is the best place to experience the culture and lifestyle of Lahaul.

How To Reach

Khangsar is located 10km from Sissu at a short diversion from the Manali Leh highway. It is 21 km from Keylong. The Bhuntar airport is the nearest airport located at 92km
