Green Valley Homestay, Shaleen – Manali

Shaleen is a serene village located at a distance of just about 6 kms from Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful villages in Himachal and is surrounded by deodar, apple orchards, oak trees and spectacular snow clad mountains. Not very far from Manali yet away from all the touristy crowds, this homestay is ideal for a few days break from the mundane city life. 

A nice hike of 150 mtr through the forest will take you to this traditional Kathkuni village homestay that promises a perfect hideout in the lap of nature. The house has three spacious duplex rooms that can easily accommodate a group of 15 people.  If you are up for some adventure, the host also has tents that can be pitched in the lawn. Wake up to the chirping birds, have hearty breakfast cooked with love by the host family, go on a short trek exploring hidden nature trails and have lunch picnic, come back to the mesmerizing sunset and have a good peaceful sleep in the lap of nature. This place is perfect for adventurous nature lovers, couples looking for romantic hideout, solo travelers looking for a safe place to crash, and for families wanted to spend some quality time together!

Shaleen is located 6 km from Manali and easily accessible by road. Bhuntar is the nearest airport located at a distance of 51 km. There are Volvo buses as well that ply between Delhi and Manali quite frequently.

They serve homemade food to guests. Enjoy the traditional pahadi meals that the host family cooks for their guests with so much love. You must try Traditional Red Rice and Local Rajma. The meals are prepared using farm fresh organic vegetables. You can actually taste the purity of Honey, milk and ghee served with the meals. And you can also enjoy crunchy garden fresh seasonal fruits. Non-vegetarian meals can be prepared on pre order.
