Vashisht is a tiny village in Himachal Pradesh spread along the mountainside above the Beas River. The village was once the home residence of the Vashisht sage and munis who have surely blessed it with their spirituality and Godliness and is a heaven for nature lovers. Located around 3 km from Manali, it is known for natural hot water springs that are said to have healing power. It also has a few ancient temples. It is equally favorite of the backpackers and the families. There are plenty of walking paths throughout the valley, some of which lead to the majestic Jogini Waterfall that is a few hour trek from here.
The homestay is located in a quiet area in the center of the village Vashisht. It is a four story house and has 7 spacious well furnished double rooms, each with an attached bathroom. The rooms offer incredible scenic views of the mountains and the valley. The roar of the mighty Beas river can be heard from the rooms.
There is a yoga studio as well attached to the homestay that offers the best environment to practice yoga and meditative exercises at any time of the day. The studio is open to guests who wish to practice or take lessons.

Fresh home-cooked meals are served. The ladies of the house – Rhitu and Padma, make sure they spoil you with local delicacies. Authentic Indian vegetarian meals are provided. Non-vegetarian meals can be prepared on request. Locally grown organic ingredients are used for cooking. The dairy comes from the family cows. If you are vegan or are lactose intolerant, please notify in advance. Arrangements can be made accordingly. Breakfast and dinner are provided at the homestay. Breakfast options include toast, your choice of egg, Paratha, Poori Sabji etc as per your preference.

Warm and kind Chhape Ram and family are the natives of Vashisht. They will go the extra mile to make you comfortable and feel at home. In addition to the homestay they have apple orchards as well. He and his son are yoga instructors. They are the best people to guide you on local trekking routes.
