Jagoti Homestay is snuggled in the woods away from the din of the city with picturesque surroundings in Mashobra. Mashobra used to be a retreat for British families who wanted to have some quiet time away from, yet accessible to Shimla. It still has the feel of British country side. It is hardly half an hour drive away from the Mall Road of Simla.
There are 6 wood furnished guest rooms with attached bathrooms and an open terrace offering an amazing view of snow clad mountains and sunrise. The host Rajeev Sokta is a simple Pahadi and a very friendly person. He is a horticulturist by occupation and takes pride in introducing his guests to Himachali culture. He is always there to help the guests and guide about the local areas.
Note: It’s a pure vegetarian homestay.
Mashobra is about 30 minutes drive from Shimla. The nearest airport is located 34 km away in Jubbarhatti. The closest broad-gauge railway station is in Kalka at 97 km. From here world famous Kalka-Shimla train starts that offers stunning views on the way.
