Kalgha Homestay – Parvati Valley

Kalgha is a lesser known Himalayan village located at an elevation of about 2,500 mtr on a forested hill near Kasol in the Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by mountains and offers a 360 degree view of the entire valley.  The gorgeous apple orchards, green fields, forests, open pastures, and birds make Kalgha a piece of heaven. It is one of the two base villages for doing the Kheerganga Trek. The natives of Kalgha mainly depend on apple farming and animal husbandry for their livelihood. However, several residents also run cafés within the premises of their old wooden homes to earn some extra living.

It is an artistically done cozy mud-house surrounded by apple orchards & coniferous forests. It offers a 360 degree of snow-clad mountains & landscape vistas. Take a walk in the village, scout the wilderness & unearth flora-fauna a minute away from the house. Hike up to the meadows and bathe under waterfalls. Keep yourself warm at nights with bonfires. Star gaze endlessly with a hot cup of cacao. Forget all your worries in this serene space.

The house has 5 rooms out of which 4 are on level 1 ideal for groups and 1 is on level 2 ideal for couples. The level 1 has 2 units, each unit is a duplex with 2 rooms interconnected from inside by a wooden staircase and has a total of 6 mattresses. The room on level 2 is a private double occupancy room. The house can accommodate a total of 14-15 people comfortably. The house offers 2 separate washrooms outside of the main arena.
