Little Lamas Homestay – Kaza

Kaza, the base of  all travel activities of Spiti Valley is situated at an altitude of 12,500 ft on the left bank of Spiti River. All important places like Ki, Kibber, Chichem Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Demul etc. are closely connected with it. Kaza hosts the Ladarcha Fair mostly in August. opens. 

Located very strategically on Manali road, close to the monastery, it provides lovely views of the valley and mountains arouns. The host stays on the ground floor and there are 4 well lit spacious rooms for the guests on the first floor. All rooms have an attached bathroom and all modern amenities. There is a Spitian style common dining area on the ground floor. It has a small kitchen garden as well. Its one of very few homestays which remains open in winters.

How To Reach

Since Kaza does not have an airport, it is accessible by road only from Shimla throughout the year and from Manali mostly from June to Oct when Kunzum Pass

Uma is a very good cook herself and loves to serve a variety of food to her guests with love and care. She always ensures that you do not leave the house hungry, be it a warm glass of milk or Parathans, it’s always available for you. You can also request her to pack food for the day. During your stay here, relish delicious home cooked local food like Thukpa, Momos, Thenthuk, Butter Tea, Ti-mok, Spitian Bread and vegetables served in local style.

Know your Host

You will be hosted by a lovely local couple – Kalzang Uma and Thuktan. They stay here with their kids. Thuktan works with the horticulture department and Uma manages the homestay. Helpful and caring Uma loves to host guests and introduce them to Spiti culture. She will do her best to make your stay comfortable.
