Situated on the foothills of Chamundi Hill and midway between the Kaveri and Kabini rivers, Mysore is the third largest city of Karnataka. In addition to the magnificent palaces and other majestic buildings, mysore also has sprawling gardens and gorgeous waterfalls & lakes. Situated around the banks of the Kabini River at a distance of 66 km from Mysore, Kabini is one of the most popular places for those who like to explore the wildlife and enjoy getting up close with nature. It is a part of Nagarhole National Park and is the starting point of wildlife safari in the south-eastern part of Nagarhole. The backwaters of the Kabini are rich in wildlife especially in summer when animals gather there in large numbers.

It is a peaceful homestay near Kabini backwater. There are 2 cottages, the bigger one has two interconnected rooms, a living area and a bathroom. It can accommodate 4 – 8 people. And the private cottage has a double occupancy room with a balcony, washroom and garden area. Tents can also be pitched in the garden. Wakeup to the chirping of the birds, go camping by the Kabini backwater, experience wildlife during the forest safari, visit village Nanganahalli and sleep while gazing at the stars. It is a paradise for nature lovers. Safari, camping and fishing can be organized by the host.

Victor serves regular home cooked Maharashtrian food. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available. You must try banana leaf fish fry, smoked chicken masala and Chettinad biryani.

Victor Paul is a nice and helpful person who can help you organize safari, camping, village walk, fishing etc. He is a good cook as well and will treat you with delicious home cooked meals.
