Laripora is the largest village of Pahalgam with around 275 families, located on the bank of Lidar River, at just 2 km from the center of Pahalgam. It boasts an 18 holes Golf Course of International standard. Tourism and agriculture are the major occupation of Laripora people. Pahalgam is a one of the most popular destination of Kashmir. Its also known for its association with Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari, the starting point of yatra is 16 km from Pahalgam.
Built by Abdul Majeed in 1975 on one acre of serene land, amidst an Apple orchard, it’s purely a traditional estate homestay. Its located hardly few yards from the bank of Lidar River. It consists of a total of 10 rooms; 2 classic and 3 superior , 4 premium and 1 Family room. All come with attached washrooms. There is a well maintained vegetable garden to supply fresh vegetables, a Dining Room, Common sitting area to socialize and a huge garden to roam around.

Know your Host
Abdul Majeed’s son Ibrahim added few more rooms to it and decided to run it as homestay in 1985. Basically a farmer, he is a very soft spoken person. Since he is a local resident for ages, he knows every nook and corner of Kashmir.
