Phyang is one of the largest inhabited villages of Ladakh known for the Phyang Monastery. This independent farmhouse is nestled in a peaceful area away from all the crowd and hustle bustle of Leh and is just 28 kms away from Leh city. The house is surrounded by farmlands with wheat, barley and all sorts of exotic vegetables. This is an ideal place to experience Ladakhi Culture.
It is a heritage house and has 6 well constructed rooms for the guests with lovely views. One room has an attached bathroom and 5 rooms have shared bathroom. There is a common dining hall where you can spend some quality time with the host family and other travellers. The magic starts right from the moment you enter their gates. You will be welcomed warmly by the sweet host family who will treat you like their own family member. Get involved in the farm activities, or in the cooking activities with them. You can also have livestock rearing experience as they domesticate animals. Another not to miss experience is a visit to heritage home managed by your host family where age old traditional kitchen items, clothing etc. are displayed.
