Lashadweep is a Union territory of India. It has a cluster of 35 Islands. Kadmat Island is a coral island located in Amindivi subgroup of the Lakshadweep group of Islands. It is surrounded by spectacular and large lagoons on the eastern and the western sides, with long, sandy beaches, an invaluable wealth of coral habitats and reef banks making it one of the most attractive tourist stopovers in Lakshadweep. The island abounds in flora and fauna, which can be explored through sports like scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling etc. This beautiful house is located near the shore and has 2 AC rooms, both with attached bathrooms. There is a kitchen for self-cooking.

How to Reach

The nearest airport to Kadmat Island is Agatti, approximately 77 km. Regular flights ply between Agatti and Cochin, Chennai and Bengaluru. From Agatti, tourists are transported to Kadmat in ferries, catamaran vessels and speedboats. The ferry ride takes around 2 hours and offers stunning views of the sea and the surrounding islands. During the monsoon season water transportation is closed and only helicopter services is available.

Food

You can relish homemade Indian food and South Indian food to guests. All the dishes of Kerala will be available here like Parantha, Chapati, poori, idli, dosa, nai roost, local dishes like kelanji, orotti and biryani. Both veg and non veg will be serve. The cook will arrange on prior request with the host or use the well-equipped kitchen for self-cooking.

Know Your Host

Shihabudeen MG, who works on contract basis in an IT company, will host you. He is leaving on Karavatti Island with his family. He is a simple native of the place and would be happy to welcome you to the homestay and show you around. His staff will receive the guests.
