Mysterious caves, gushing waterfalls and amazing living root bridges make it a must visit destination. The best time to visit Cherrapunji is between the months of October and May, when the weather remains cool and pleasant.

Umroi Airport Shillong is the nearest airport located at a distance of 80 km. You can easily find taxis from Shillong airport to Cherrapunji. Another major international airport close to Cherrapunji is Guwahati Airport (LGBI Airport) around 165 kms away.
