Bikaner, the fourth largest city in Rajasthan is surrounded by the Thar Desert. The city is known for the 16th-century Junagarh Fort. Within the fort, the Prachina Museum displays traditional textiles and royal portraits. Another main attraction is Karni Mata Temple that houses thousands of rats. There are many museums in the city to give you a glimpse of its glorious past. The nearest is Nal Airport Bikaner (17 km) but has limited flights. Nearest major airport is in Jodhpur (240km).
