There is no other place like Pushkar in the world. Its has a lake in the center, mountain in the east and desert in the west; everything within an area of probably 4 Sq km. It boast of having only Brahma temple in the world, on the other side Gurudwara welcome you at the entrance and a mosque in the center. This town is stuck in medieval ages and at the same time trying to be modern to cater to western visitors. Ringing bells and everlasting fragrance of dhoop (incense) is something liger on your mind for months.
Jean Marc Dansereau, a French Canadian came to India decades back, married Padma in Andhra Pradesh. They fell in love with Pushkar and decided to stay here forever. He conceptualized this place to live in harmony with nature and animals. Surrounded by Aravali Ranges, the homestay is a great combination of north and south Indian style. It allows you to stay close to nature with the open lush green garden and cozy brick cottages. Located just 500 meter from the main market its away from the hustle-bustle of the town yet close enough. It is home to three friendly dogs, two horses and numerous birds and squirrels.
The homestay has rooms in different size and capacity; all are garden facing, come with attached bathroom and running hot and cold water. Two of them are air conditioned.
