Just around 120kms from Pune and 230km from Mumbai, Mahabaleshwar is highly frequented hill station in the Western Ghats. Surrounded by lush greenery, this well-maintained, Parsi-owned heritage bungalow is unique and tastefully done. There is one bedroom with attached bathroom on the ground floor along with the living room, kitchen, dining room and a powder room. And in just a few flights of stairs, there are 3 rooms – one master bedroom with an attached bathroom and 2 other rooms with a shared bathroom. The interiors are antique and well kept with all modern facilities that you can think of. The open spaces are abundant with birds and natural beauty. There is a nice collection of books if you just want to crash and read. Serene surroundings for your morning and evening walks, well-trained friendly staff and delicious meals served piping hot; the home has it all that is required for a perfect vacation.

How to Reach

There is no airport or railway station in Mahabaleshwar, but it is easily accessible by road. The nearest airport is Pune Airport (125 kilometers away), which has frequent flights from all major cities. Satara (60 km) is the nearest railway station, and it is well connected by rail to major towns such as Satara, Kolhapur, Pune, and Mumbai. Cabs are easily available from airport and railway station.

You will be treated to homely food, balanced in taste and served piping hot from the in house kitchen. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food is served. The cook specializes in Parsi dishes like Dhansakh, akuri, lasoon ghosht, pithla-bhakrisali chicken, and dhan dar patio. You can also try Maharashtrian cuisine like pitla bhakti, mutton/ chicken suka, fish fry, prawns masala etc.
