Located 12 Km away from the town of Lansdowne, Asankhet is a beautiful hamlet surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests. The village is nestled at hilltop and gives a picture-perfect view of Lower Himalayas. This beautiful property is located on a secluded hill-top, 12 kms away from the city-centre of Lansdowne. The homestay is an aesthetically crafted villa with all the amneties for a luxurious stay. It has a beautiful garden where one can enjoy breathtaking valley views, sunrise and sunset. The homestay is in a perfect destination where guests can soak into the goodness of the mountains. The villa is quite spacious and home decor is classy. The serene ambience and view of mountains from the villa can make your stay full of peace and solitude. The homestay comprises two bedrooms, one meditation room and a lounge on first floor. Each room has an attached washroom with hot shower facility. Ground Floor has a kitchen, one bedroom (host) and a living area. A caretaker lives on the ground floor responsible for cooking meals and is available 24/7 in the property. An assistant and a housekeeping are also available during daytime. 6 guests can be accommodated comfortably. In case its a bigger group arrangements can be made for 3 extra people in meditation room. There is a huge garden in the front & back and a step down play area for kids to play. The property has a dedicated parking space for two as well as four wheeler.

Jollygrant Airport, Dehradun (132 Km) is the nearest airport to Asankhet. The nearest railway station to Asankhet is Kotdwar Railway Station (52 Km). The village is well connected by road transport to nearby towns and cities of Lansdowne, Kotdwar, Pauri, Haridwar and Ramnagar. An adequate frequency of public transport is available to reach this hamlet of Asankhet. Cabs are also available from Lansdowne or Kotdwar.

Breakfast includes stuffed parathas, sandwiches, bread omlet, tea/ coffee etc. Regular north Indian meals are served in lunch and dinner that includes Chapati, Rice, Dal, Fresh Farm Vegetable, Curries etc. Traditional Garhwali food is also served in the homestay on pre-order basis, such as Kode ki Roti, Jhangore ki Kheer, Chaunsa, Kadhi, Baari, Bhatwaani, etc. Guests can connect with the local in-house cook who is always there in homestay for service. Also, guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen where they can cook their own food.

Know Your Host

It is a second home to Amit and Nidhi Mahajan. They belong originally from Noida, but they are born travellers and believe that the journey is itself a destination. Amit works in an IT Telecom company, but the enthusiasm of travelling to less explored places made his wife and him to open a property of their own in a lesser-known village of Asankhet.
