Hillside Hideaway, Sangsey-Kalimpong

Sangsey is a mountain village set among the foothills and deep valleys of West Bengal. Located just 12 kms from Kalimpong, it is still untouched by mass tourism. The village has one of the most scenic views of the Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan snow peaks and is surrounded by mountain forest full of rare mountain birds. Because of its relatively lower altitude as compared to Darjeeling or Gangtok, the weather is mild and pleasant for most part of the year. Bird watchers will love this place during the months of April and May.

Located in this small unexplored hamlet, it is an eco-friendly homestay away from the mad crowds. This captivating little place is surrounded by forest. Wake up to the songs of colorful mountain birds and the magical views of Kanchenjunga that play hide and seek with the clouds. You can visit the jungle engulfing the hamlet for photography and relaxing. There is also a place within the village called “Deorali Dara” where you can get a 360 degree view of the place. The homestay has 2 guest rooms, both with an attached bathroom.
