How To Reach

Gangtok is well connected through roads across India. Although the nearest railway station to Gangtok is New Jalpaiguri, which is 140 kms from Gangtok. The Pakyong Airport is the nearest airport located 35 kms from the town. The town can be accessed either by self-driving or a hired cab from Pakyong.

The homestay offers delicious home-cooked food. Breakfast options include Omelets, Poha, Sandwiches, Aloo Poori, etc. The host provides Sikkimese cuisine and specializes in Chhurpi (Himalayan cottage cheese salad made from buttermilk), Gundruk (fermented mustard soup), Thukpa, Momos, Mustard leaves vegetables and Raiyo Saag. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available.

Know Your Host

Chetan Basnett has an education in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Gangtok. Prior to starting the homestay in 2019, he traveled intensively to different destinations, which not only nourished him personally but also inflicted new visions. He manages his ancestral property converted into a homestay and promises his guests a homely yet luxurious experience while enjoying the boisterous nitty-gritty of the city. Chetan stays with his family in an adjacent building and is available at every beck and call. He believes in the power of experiences and loves to hear experiences others share and remains open to sharing his own.
