Namchi the capital of South Sikkim district, is a small town in Sikkim located at a distance of 78 km from the state capital Gangtok and 100 kilometres from the town of Siliguri. You will be welcomed by warm and friendly Rinzing Tamang and his family. Rinzing is a computer teacher in a local school and is very helpful, humble and kind. They are a family of five members who go out of their way to make you comfortable and feel at home. Rinzing can guide you on local tours and trek as well and might accompany you if he is available.
Traditional food is served to the guests to give the taste of local culture. Breakfast includes Chapati/Puri Sabji, Noodles, Biscuits etc. whereas in other meals local food or Nepali Thali is served including Sinsu, Corn, Rice, Sabji etc. Non-vegetarian food is also available on request. You must try Tongba (local organic drink) with Chicken Sekwa.
