Mane village, just 30 kms from Kaza, is one of the most beautiful but unexplored areas of Spiti.  Twin villages Maneyogma & Manegogma, together form Mane. There are many multitudes of reasons to visit Mane village– from fulfilling your explorer spirit to embarking on a one-of-a-kind adventure –Mane has so much to offer

This is a traditional mud house with modern finish, available for guests since 2017. There are a total of 4 rooms for the guests. There is a double bedded room on the ground floor with an attached washroom. It can accommodate 3 people. The first floor has 2 bigger rooms with 2 double beds in each; so each room accommodates 4 people. And there is a glass room that is specially designed for winters and is warmer than other rooms. There is a shared bathroom, a western toilet and a local toilet for these rooms. It is an eco friendly house made entirely of local material and it runs on solar power so electricity is available 24*7.

How To Reach

To reach the village you have to go 13 km from Tabo toward Kaza, take left from Mane Bridge to cross the river and a 6 km winding unpaved uphill road will take you to Mane.

Lozang serves freshly prepared homemade food. Choices are local, Indian and Chinese. You can try Tibetan Bread with egg or Paratha with butter, curd or milk tea in breakfast. Meals include local food like Thupka, Tsampa, Momos, Timo, Roti, Dal, Rice and vegetables. Non-veg can be made available on demand.

You will be hosted by Lonzang Chhonzom, a gentle lady who also runs a shop on the ground floor of the house. She is an ideal example of Spitian hospitality. She can also help you organize activities like rock climbing, ice climbing in winters (dec-feb), rappelling, trekking, Mt. Manirang expedition, camping, hiking, Yak safari and zip line.
