This traditional stand-alone stone and wood cottage is set amidst Peach, Plum and Apricot orchard. It overlooks Almora town and the valley and is perfect for a peaceful vacation. The cottage is tastefully furnished and provides all modern facilities. There are 2 spacious guest rooms; each with fully equipped attached bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking the Himalayas. There is a common lounge and a garden as well for relaxed mornings and evenings and bonfire nights.
You will be hosted by humble Pradeep Dasila and family, who are the natives of Almora. Pradeep is a simple man who also has a tailoring shop. Son Aman and daughter Kiran help their father in managing the homestay. Pushpa, his wife is an excellent cook and takes care of the kitchen.
Pradeep serve freshly cooked local cuisine and North Indian vegetarian food. Most of the vegetables supplied to the kitchen are sourced from their own organic kitchen garden. Non-vegetarian is available only on demand. Pradeep serves a rich menu of breakfast like Paratha with curd, Sandwich, Butter Toast, Bread Omelette or Aalu Puri. Meals are a combination of north Indian and local Kumaoni food. Bhatt ki churdkani, Palak ka kappa and Jholi are a few local dishes that you must try.
