Set in splendid isolation in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary amidst Pine forest, Dalar is an ideal destination for writers, nature lovers, adventurers and birders. It is a quaint little village with just 11 houses, situated at a mild altitude of 6500 ft. Out of 6 villages within the sanctuary, its the nearest village, just 2 km from Binsar gate. Since the place is wrapped up in thick foliage, it is the best place to experience adventurous hiking and nature walks. A small trek takes you to zero point that offers stunning views of the majestic Himalayan peaks of Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, Trisul and Kedarnath. More than 200 species of birds are recorded here including Forktail, Laughing Thrush, Kalij Pheasant, Nuthatches and Monal.
The homestay is located inside Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, 2 km from the main road at a gentle walk of 35 min through lush green Oak and Pine forest. Set in splendid isolation of Dalar village, its a traditional Pahadi house made of stone and wood. On a clear day you can have a swapping view of Himalaya peaks such as Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Trishul, Nandadevi etc. This place is built ideally for yoga and meditation.
The main house consist of three guest rooms; one with attached and two with a common washroom. There is an individual cottage having 2 bedroom with separate washrooms, ideal for family. Another one is a single bedroom cottage best suited to couple with an attached washroom.
