A large common area and garden gives you ample amount of space to relax and play around. The homestay also has a beautiful wooden finished café where you can sip your tea while enjoying the sunrise and sunset. Since you get good wifi speed, it is ideal for workation as well.

How To Reach

Chaukori is easily accessible by road, railways and flights. Jollygrant Airport (Dehradun) is the nearest airport (340 Km) and has frequent flights to Delhi and Mumbai. Kathgodam (180 Km) and Tanakpur (174 Km) are the nearest railway stations from Chaukori. The hill-station is well connected with road transport from Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Haldwani and Dehradun as there is a good frequency of public and private buses, cabs and taxis.

Know Your Host

This cozy little homestay is hosted by Bhupinder Singh Dhami who is originally from a village nearby and has recently shifted to Chaukori. He worked as an administrator for Godrej & Boyce in Bengaluru for several years. Bhupinder’s enthusiasm to connect people from the rural areas with the modern world motivated him to take this step of shifting back to mountains. He aspires to work for his people, understand their problems and grow together with them peacefully. Humble and polite, Bhupinder has a good understanding of places around Chaukori.  He likes travelling, photography, reading and interacting with new people.
