Chelusain is a tiny hamlet in Garhwal Himalayas around 33km from Lansdowne and 295 kms from Delhi. Close proximity to Delhi makes it an ideal weekend destination. The highlight of Chelusain is the panoramic views of snow clad Himalayan peaks of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri group, Kedarnath, Chawkhamba, Neelkhanth, Hathiparvat, Nandadevi and Trishul along with the surreal sunrises and sunsets. There are dense forests of Pine, Rhododendron and many other evergreen trees, which makes this place even more beautiful. There are many unexplored nature trails, waterfalls and bugyals (meadows) around. You can also do angling at Narayan Ganga river, which is just 30 min drive. Chelusain also has spiritual importance. Many saints have meditated here and Sidh peeth of Bhairon Baba is around 30 km. This along with Hanuman Garhi can be visited during your stay in Chelusain.

In the age of high commercialization and travesty, this is a unique and refreshing break. If you wanna enjoy the unadulterated and real vibes of a Himalayan village with organic food, virgin nature and warmth of simple village folks, this is the place you don't wanna miss.

A memorable experience with family that belongs to the mountains and be guest to their local food and culture. With evening camarderie together with tea, snacks and songs makes the place delightful. Sunrise is just outside your room and you would be amazed with the colours of the sky. Thankful to Pankaj and his family for their benevolence. Would recomend everyone to visit this place to experience the pahadi lifestyle and culture.
