Chelusain is a tiny hamlet in Garhwal Himalayas around 33km from Lansdowne and 295 kms from Delhi. Close proximity to Delhi makes it an ideal weekend destination. The highlight of Chelusain is the panoramic views of snow clad Himalayan peaks of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri group, Kedarnath, Chawkhamba, Neelkhanth, Hathiparvat, Nandadevi and Trishul along with the surreal sunrises and sunsets. There are dense forests of Pine, Rhododendron and many other evergreen trees, which makes this place even more beautiful. There are many unexplored nature trails, waterfalls and bugyals (meadows) around. You can also do angling at Narayan Ganga river, which is just 30 min drive. Chelusain also has spiritual importance. Many saints have meditated here and Sidh peeth of Bhairon Baba is around 30 km. This along with Hanuman Garhi can be visited during your stay in Chelusain. 

This neatly maintained homestay is located in a quaint village Mastkhal in the northern slopes of the beautiful Garhwal Himalayan ranges. Set right on the mountain edge, the homestay overlooks the lush green pine forests and has a panoramic view of snow clad Himalayan peaks. The ranges can be seen from any point of the homestay. Stay with a local family, eat organic local food and experience the beauty of Uttarakhand culture and hospitality in its purest form.

There are 5 comfortable rooms for guests on the first floor with clean, hygienic and well maintained attached washrooms. A common sitting cum dining area is also there on this floor. There is a kitchen garden and guests have access to local fruit orchards. Wake up to the chirping of birds, have a cup of tea while enjoying the surreal sunrise over the peaks, have a hearty breakfast and pick vegetables for your dinner. While your dinner is being prepared, go angling, hiking or birding.

The nearest airport is Jollygrant Dehradun at 119 km. One can easily get taxis from the airport to reach Dwarikhal and neighboring areas. Rishikesh is the nearest railway station at 75 km from Dwarikhal

Food

They serve authentic organic home cooked food. Vegetables in the kitchen come from their own organic farms. Breakfast includes paratha, butter toast, egg to order, puri sabji etc along with tea/ coffee. Regular north Indian meals are served at lunch and dinner. It includes seasonal vegetables, dal, curries, rice, roti etc. You must also try local food one day. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available.
