Just 280 kms from Delhi, Kotabagh is one of the most picturesque places in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. it is still unexplored and is a perfect weekend destination near Nainital. Kotabagh is situated at the foot hill and is bordered by Tarai and Kaladungi. With hills on one side and jungle on the other, its beauty is unmatched.
It is a beautiful house located on the edge of a river with terraced lawns and is surrounded by forested mountains & farmland. There are ample things to do – if you like safaris, Corbett National Sanctuary, one of India’s most beautiful tiger reserves, is just 30 kilometers away; if you want some bustle, Naintal is 35km away. The drives are wonderful, and there are several other lovely little hamlet-towns close by.
There are 4 spacious and airy rooms. Each bedroom is unique and has stunning river views, tasteful decor and a separate entrance. Care has been taken to include nature in the design. The main lounging area which also doubles up as the dining area is charming and one can spend hours there. Absolutely serene, cut off from noise, the homestay is frequented with birds and butterflies. Enjoy their company while fragrant breezes caress you and the calls of animals from across the river reach you. There are many fruit trees as well in the premises. To add to this all, there’s a lovely open air lounge & swimming pool with fresh river water. It’s a lovely combination of thoughtful architecture, perfect location, welcoming host, competent staff and sumptuous food.

How To Reach
Kotabagh is 52km from Nainital, 40km from Haldwani and 28km from Corbett. Kathgodam is the nearest railhead (44 km). Shatabdi Express runs everyday from Delhi to Kathgodam. You can hire a cab from there. Delhi is just 280 km from here and is an easy 6 hour drive. So you can plan by road as well. The nearest airport is in Pantnagar (62 km).
