Pokhari is a small village situated in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand about 27 km from Karnaprayag and 64 km from Chamoli. You can get breath-taking views of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Nanda Devi and the Haathi-Ghodi peaks from here. There are several walks around the village that lead you up to remote ancient temples. Pokhari can be visited anytime of the year. Every season has a beauty of its own.

This cozy pinewood cottage amidst the whiff of wilderness is nestled in the foothills of the majestic Chaukhamba overlooking a quiet valley. Perfect place to spend a short vacation with friends or to spend some alone time in case you want to write or just chill with an amazing collection of books. There are walks, treks and excursions around that you can undertake.  In springtime the whole village becomes colorful with a vast rhododendron bloom. There is a lot of birdlife around, so this place is a paradise for the birders as well. 

There are 3 tastefully done cozy rooms for guests with a beautiful view of the mighty Himalayas and green valley from the balcony and through the large glass windows of the rooms. 1 double bedroom is with an attached bathroom and other 2 rooms have a common bathroom. The view in the morning is mesmerizing and the location of the rooms are in the manner that when the sun rises the light directly comes inside the room and the chilly breeze caresses when you go outside in the balcony. The clear sky is full of stars at night. So this lovely cottage is everything you need for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life and recharge your mind.
