Located in a tiny hamlet Peora near Satkhol in Kumaon around 20kms from Mukteshwar in Uttarakhand, this farmstay is set in 7.5 ares land in the midst exotic fruit orchards and dense oak forest. The homestay is a short, gentle 5 minutes walk from the main road. The property is blessed with jaw dropping views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Seasonally, You get to witness different species of migratory birds. 

There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a loft which has two floor mattresses. Each room has its own bathroom and kitchen and can accommodate 4 people. Relax and rejuvenate in natural surroundings and enjoy slow life of a Himalayan village. You can help out on the farms blooming with plums and peaches, and organic vegetables grown in-house; engage in farm activities like plucking fruits, digging out vegetables, or milking a cow!

You can cook your own meals, or ask host family to cook for you. They are a local family and will give you the taste of local cuisine on request. Breakfast includes stuffed paratha, poori, poha, chila or bread. They serve authentic local lunch and dinner that includes seasonal vegetables picked from their own farms, dal cooked in pahadi style, Roti, rice etc. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food is available on request.

The Farmstay is owned by Yashwant Singh Mer. He is native of this village and lives here with his parents, wife and children. Being locals and brought up on this farm, they are knowledgeable about the region, hidden-gems and must-dos. They are very sweet, warm and kind and will go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The family sells handwoven clothes too which you can buy there at affordable prices.
