Green Nook Homestay – Kainchi Dham

Located just around 3km from Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, Kainchi Dham in a small village of Niglat Malla, this homestay is filled with warmth, love and coziness. The house is just at 40m walking distance from the main road and has parking facility. It is east-facing and receives first rays of sunlight directly inside the rooms through windows and doors. The homestay has a beautiful balcony with surreal views of lush green mountains.

It is a two-floor mountain house with owners staying on the ground floor. There are 2 rooms on the first floor. Classic room has a double bed and can accommodate 3 people and the family r  oom has two double beds and can accommodate 6 people. Both rooms have an attached bathroom. A well-equipped kitchen is open for all guests. The hall has a seating area to chit-chat and enjoy food together. The homestay also has a garden open for guests to sit and relax under the warmth of sunlight and offers best views in monsoon and winter season.

Relish fresh home-cooked vegetarian food. There is no option for non-vegetarian food. However, the guests are allowed to bring their own non-vegetarian food from outside or cook themselves in the provided kitchen. Parathas, Omelette, Tea, Dal, Rice, Vegetables, etc are commonly served in Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. You can also try traditional Kumaoni food such as Churkaani, Bhat ke Dubke, Hara Saag, Bhang ki Chuttney, etc on pre-order.

Know Your Host

Vijay and Meera Padalia host this uniquely constructed property. They are natives from Nainital district and has recently started a homestay of his own. Vijay, by profession is a contractor in local areas of Nainital and Meera is a housewife. The family is happy to welcome their guests for experiencing a traditional Kumaoni lifestyle. Vijay is a socially oriented person who has lot of stories to tell about the place and the life in mountains.
