Kholachauri is a tiny village located 15km away from Pauri.

This traditionally built local house is located in a serene environment in the midst of a pine forest overlooking Garhwal Himalayas. The house is made of stone and red soil that keeps righteous temperature insulation in rooms. There are 2 rooms for the guests with a shared bathroom. Interior spaces of the house are designed with a fusion of traditional & modern living. Enjoy local culture and cuisine and explore hidden spots with locals. If you are an author, writer, birder, artist or nature lover, you will love to stay here longer. Other than enjoying the serene nature and going on treks and trails, you can also indulge in games like chess and carrom. There’s also a volleyball court on top of a hill.

How To Reach

The nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun which is approximately 112 km from Kholachauri. Rishikesh railway station is 95 km. These buses ply from the major cities of the state and Delhi. People traveling by train can board buses from Haridwar/ Rishikesh to reach Pauri.
