Nestled at an elevation of 3870 meters on the Syahi Devi hills, it is one of the most serene in the Kumaon Himalayas, Uttarakhand. Salla Rautella is a beautiful village surrounded by lush green forests and majestic mountains, located 4 kms from Shitlakhet and 26 kms from Ranikhet. It offers a majestic view of over 15 snow‐capped peaks including Nanda Devi, Trisul, Chaukhamba, and Panchachuli. It has also been a dwelling place of ancient yogis like Somwari Maharaj and Haidakhandi Maharaj. The nearest railway station is Kathgodam just 78 km away and Pantnagar airport is 113 km.

This is a beautiful family run homestay located in a small village away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is an independent house consisting of 3 floors. Ground floor and first floor are dedicated to the guest while the host family lives on the second floor. There are 2 spacious rooms with attached bathroom and huge balcony where you can enjoy valley view and sunlight all day. Wake up to the chirping of birds while sun rays playfully enter your room. There is also a beautiful terrace adjacent to the rooms from where you can get breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks.

Know your Host

Rekha and her husband Gajendra Pathak will be there to host you along with their whole family. They live on the second floor of the homestay. Rekha is a housewife and she manages this homestay whereas Gajendra works for a private firm. The family is so helpful and courteous, you will never feel that you are out of your home.
