The Quiet Perch Cottage, Rampuria – Darjeeling 

Located in Rampuria village, 21km from the main Darjeeling town, this wooden cottage stands among majestic mountains, right next to a small farm. The region is within the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary and is filled with green trees, plants, and a variety of animals and birds. If you enjoy nature, and looking for calm and quiet spot, this is ideal for you. 

This self-contained cottage comprises three rooms on the ground floor, each having its own attached bathroom. The rooms have a shared balcony, where you can sit and view the surrounding scenic beauty and breathe in the crisp mountain air. The rooms are large and clean, with large wide windows that provide ample sunlight, keeping the place bright and cheerful. Shared spaces of living room and dining room is ideal for unwinding, reading a novel, or eating together. The homestay also provides mesmerizing sunrise views.

This homestay is 21 km from Darjeeling and easily accessible by road. Bagdogra Airport (77 km) is the nearest airport with frequent flights. This village is connected by Darjelling – Kalimpong state highway. The nearest railway station is Siliguri Junction at 73 km. Cabs are easily available from the airport and railway station.

A chef is assigned by the host to cook meals for the guests. Breakfast is plain Bengali fare like aloo puri, along with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Lunch and dinner includes vegetable thali, noodles, egg curry, veg curry, chicken curry, rice, and dal etc. Every meal is fresh-cooked with love, introducing visitors to native home-style cooking. Both veg and non-veg food is available. Guests need to order non-veg food in advance, and it comes with an extra charge. Extra food will also cost separately.
